Divas Sanctuary Lounge Black History Poetry Contest

Black History Month is a remembrance of important people and events in the history of the African diaspora. Since 1976, it is celebrated annually in the United States of America and Canada in February and the United Kingdom in the month of October. In the U.S., Black History Month is also referred to as African-American History Month.

So Every Thursday in February Divas Sanctuary Lounge We are to have events that teach you more info on Black History,we will offer great poets,and singers..

Tons of People have all different types of Black History Poems,so we are going to have a contest to reward the talented person on their work…

Our staff will judge on the best poem,and winner will get very hot prizes..

Contest Begins: Feb 1,2011
Contest Ends: Feb 18th,2011

Rules For Contest:
1. You may only submitted work that’s written by you,it may not be someone’s poem,or by a famous author..we will goggle and know if not your work..

2.Your Poem must be based on Black history,any other topic/theme will be trash

Runner Up:1,000L
Your Poem will be published in DOPE Magazine March Issue 2011,and you will get to perform your poem at one of Divas Sanctuary Lounge’s Open Mic Events,and become a paid poet for our Lounge..

Grand Prize Winner:2,000L
Your Poem will be published in DOPE Magazine March Issue 2011,and you will get to perform your poem at one of Divas Sanctuary Lounge’s Open Mic Events,and become a paid poet for our Lounge..
